Getting Started

OwnAcres is a real estate marketplace where property owners and dealers can list, manage, and promote properties for sale or rent. Listing a property takes just a few minutes through our guided, multi-step wizard.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Visit www.ownacres.in
  2. Click the "Get Started" button on the homepage
  3. Fill out the sign-up form with the following details:
  4. Click "Register" to submit your details

Step 2: Verify Your Email

For account security, OwnAcres requires email verification before granting dashboard access.

  1. Check your registered email inbox for a One-Time Password (OTP)
  2. Return to the OwnAcres verification screen and enter the OTP
  3. Click "Verify"

Once verified, you'll be automatically redirected to your Dashboard — your central hub for managing listings, messages, and saved properties.

Step 3: Start a New Listing

From your dashboard, click the "List a Property" button to launch the listing wizard. The wizard is broken into simple steps, and your progress is saved as you go — so you can pick up where you left off if needed.

Step 3.1 — Upload Photos

  • Click the main image box or drag and drop your primary property photo — this becomes the cover image shown on listing cards across the marketplace
  • Add additional photos in the section below (interior, exterior, floor plans, amenities, etc.) — more photos generally lead to higher buyer/renter interest
  • Supported formats include standard image files (JPG, PNG); avoid heavily compressed or low-resolution images for best presentation
  • Click "Save and Continue"

Step 3.2 — Property Title & Description

  • Enter a clear, descriptive Property Title (e.g., "3BHK Independent House in Model Town, Ludhiana")
  • Write a detailed Property Description covering key features, nearby landmarks, amenities, and anything that helps buyers/renters understand the property's value
  • A well-written description improves visibility and buyer trust
  • Click "Save and Continue"

Step 3.3 — Listing Type, Pricing & Location

  • Choose your listing type:

  • Enter the property's location details:
  • (Optional) Pin the exact location on the interactive map for added accuracy — this helps buyers/renters gauge proximity to landmarks, schools, and transit
  • Click "Save and Continue"

Step 3.4 — Listing Published

Your property is now live on the OwnAcres marketplace and visible to potential buyers or renters.

After Your Listing Goes Live

  • Manage your listing anytime from your dashboard edit details, update photos, or change the status (Draft, Published, or Archived)
  • Track inquiries through your built-in Inbox, where interested buyers/renters can message you directly
  • Save properties you're interested in from other listings using the "Save" feature, accessible from your dashboard
  • Dealers can manage multiple listings and build out a public dealer profile to showcase their portfolio
